I don't think ive ever seen a player refuse to come off before

I've never seen a player force his way to stay on over the manager.

    Sarri's tantrum was amazing though.

Sarri going to use Kepa as a human ashtray after that

Kepa's "attempt" to save Aguero's penalty and Aguero's reaction is priceless

Didn't even watch it (was doing chores lmao) but I am "shocked" that it was Jorginho and David Luiz that missed their penalties. IDK what to even think about Kepa though - benching him for the entire rest of the season would not be out of the question, but subbing a GK right before the shootout will never not be a slap in the face to the one being subbed imo. I remember LVG subbing Cillessen for Krul each shootout in the WC and Cillessen's confidence took a big hit for sure.

Right, but regardless, the manager says you're off, and you're off. No question of circumstance. The manager calls the shots plain and simple, especially when it's the manager who brought you to the club, you're earning millions because of this guy, he got you to the final. He now thinks the best way to win the final is taking you off? You better run the fuck off that pitch.

If that was at my club, I'd be tempted to say I wouldn't want him to play for us again. But he's a £70 million investment for Chelsea, so it's a tough one to guess as to what will happen.

    hmmm

Drop him for the rest of the season and make him apologise in the summer. Probably the best way to deal with it, I think.

You mean, drop him until Sarri is sacked and then start fresh?

Couple of weeks punishment isn't much though.

Let's face it, this is what will happen. Bet Kepa can't wait till a new manager comes in and wipes the slate clean meaning he totally gets away with it.

Kepa's not the only one, Chelsea need a massive clear out but I doubt that will happen especially with their transfer ban.

For sure. The squad is absolutely toxic. I mean, the whole William Instagram post where he covered Conte up last year was almost as bad. Going to be an interesting time for them coming up.

Who was the captain? Did he try to have a word with him?

Azpi. I didn't see it, but apparently he said some wishy washy statement in an interview after about being over the other side of the pitch so he didn't see what had happened.

What has actually happened to Lindelöf in the last few months? He's been spectacular. Just thinking of how he played yesterday. Brilliant.

Wow. Good appointment for them if LCFC can pull it off, BR still an underrated manager imo.
