Terrible year to have to count on Everton for a win.

 

Reminds me of the time where I once had to witness one of our players getting sent off for executing a quick free kick. We were 2-1 down and it was the final minutes of the game. The ref was atrocious in that game.

NYRB just scored 2 goals in the opening 4 minutes of this game vs NYCFC


Was hoping for an enjoyable game. Guess I gotta find something else to watch

Scores in the 96th minute after 4 minutes added time and the ref blows up straight away. Ridiculous.

 

There was a break in injury time because of an injury so really not that uncommon.

This wasn't about scoring two early goals. It was about "fans" getting turned off by two early goals and have two find something different to watch because the game's boring now and football is just a means for their entertainment anyways.

And I wasn't being that serious as well.

 

I didn't take you as being serious, but I thought it was a play on "I was hoping for an entertaining game" as in, that's not possible with American soccer or whatever lol. Standard bantz.


But yeah I have no qualms about no longer wanting to watch a game in which I have no rooting interest when it's over within 4 minutes.

Anyone who has a problem with that, I will physically fight you. That's a promise.

I guess then we have to fight. This attitude will get you to a point where you will miss so many great comebacks. E.g. I was watching BVB-Schalke earlier this season and was rooting for Schalke. Dortmund had a perfect start and was suddenly and unexpectetly leading 4-0 after 25 minutes. I was obviously absolutely pissed but I did not turn off the TV. Instead I witnessed one of the greatest comebacks ever in the Bundesliga when Schalke turned that 4-0 into a 4-4 and were even on the brink of scoring the winning goal. If I had your attitude I would have turned off the TV after the 2-0 or 3-0 and missed all the greatness.

 

I mean I get the logic. But if I didn't change the channel at that point I would have missed that controversial Everton finish....no regrets there.


And I did end up watching most of the NY game anyway. But if another game was on I would have switched channels without question.

Unfortunately in MLS a regular season game this early in the season is almost entirely inconsequential. And I didn't care about the teams. Why would I not choose to watch a more competitive game if I had the option?

 

What the hell happened to Sunderland?

 

Absolutely glorious day to end this shit show of a season on.

 

Mom made plans for us we can’t back out of during Iniesta’s last El Clasico. Canceling Mother’s Day next weekend.

 

Cardiff seemingly going up with Wolves. Fulham 2-0 down to Birmingham.
