Yeah it was nice. He's been doing it a lot since before Christmas. Pulling out onto the right like that. He set up Pogba for the assist to Martial in the Stoke game too. He's just really great at team play and seems to not give a toss if it's him scoring or setting others up.

I'm aware of my track record of predicting things in this thread (lol) but Sanchez will make a big difference IMO. I like Mhiki but Sanchez is twice the player he is and has far more of a killer instinct when it comes to getting that goal/assist, plus he is outrageously experienced and now able to play without the weight of a whole team on his shoulders! (joking, Gooners! (but only half-joking lol)).
Martial, Rashford & Lingard may be raw when it comes to that key pass but they will only improve - I look at Chelsea and see Hazard, Willian & Pedro and see 3 players that will not even be at the club in a couple seasons time, and nobody capable of replacing them from within (Musonda if he is lucky?). That's what makes me most jealous.

to be fair, panda, you said liverpool needed to sign a 20 goal striker to have an attack...Salah was that signing.

Shame they couldn't break down the worst side in the league.

Well it's not that much of a shame.

Isn't that just the players respecting the recent Liverpool tradition of putting in a mighty performance against a top side and then an absolutely turgid one against some shit?

Mascherano is leaving Barcelona. Is someone cutting onions in here?

Yeah me, sorry... (ha! c'mon!). Unbelievably good player and will be sad to see him go despite not being a Barca fan. Where is he going?

Telling how no player -not even Özil - said goodbye to Alexis on social media (as far as I can see)

    So assuming that this weekend...

Mustafi put up a goodbye picture on his Instagram story. That's literally the only farewell message I've seen from the players.

  13. Sounds like Toby is healthy and training with the team again. Nice.

Seems weird that a player who put in such heavy shifts most games didn't get on with his team mates.

  17. I don't get how the European papers stay in business with their bullshit. All the papers from France and UK were claiming for the past week that Arsenal and Spurs were in a battle for Malcom. Everyday it escalated and the reports were detailed. Today his club's manager says there has been zero talk with any other clubs about the player.

Like, I know not believe majority of the paper rumors. It's just crazy how common that style of "reporting" is in soccer. You don't see that literally anywhere else. They don't give any shits about their credibility haha

Just a PSA to everyone in the thread:

All following money talk in regards to transfer must include grand total of wages over the length of their contract, any signing bonuses, or agent fees. I somehow missed the memo that led to this widespread new rule across all of the English media.

I would also appreciate it if we could mention how long a player has left until he is unceremoniously dropped off at a nursing home come his 30th birthday.

The decrepit, 180 million dollar man Alexis Sanchez and Manchester United fans would appreciate it.

Aymeric Laporte off to City for €70m. Another €40m+ defender for Pep.

In other news, yesterday, Phil Neville was hired as England Women's manager. Today, Phil Neville will resign from being England Women's manager.

What a pathetic appointment from the FA.

What happened to make him resign, I presume it's something he's done or said in the past for it to be so quick.

Sexist tweets. Deleted his twitter within minutes of getting hired. Jokes about beating up his wife, women belonging in the kitchen etc. etc.

The FA are amazing. How they're still operating is beyond me.

Has it been leaked he'll resign or something? Just had a quick look and couldn't see anything, but christ, what a terrible appointment that's been.

Laporte a great signing. I remember Pep wanting him & Stones to be his CB pairing from before he even began at City so will be cool to see how they play together (still think Alderweireld + Vertonghen are the best ball-playing CB partnership though! ;-p)
