Unfortunately not. That's why we need an upgrade, he hasn't done it enough this season. If we could get Mata, 5 years younger and a touch faster we would be laughing. No idea where he's hiding though.

Nah he didn't play, he's been playing this season.

We've been playing with a 10 all season and Mkhitaryan started on fire but when he went off Mata replaced him and he was poor, like unable to play a simple pass poor.

 

Annoying how we lost. Two shite goals to concede, we defending fairly OK apart from them. Oh well, doesn't hurt as much since everyone around us dropped points too. Goal is top 4 and a decent showing in the Champions League. We need to consolidate our position in the top 4.

City are head and shoulders above the rest though

 

I think being best of the rest against a City team as strong as this says a lot. We're much improved from last year, so that's all you can really ask for. Can't help if another team has found a level above us.

It's a long season though. The league is far from wrapped up. City obviously have a big squad, but they'll drop points eventually and have one eye on the Champions League.
