Started watching some MLS games because I like betting. Both Teams To Score an easy bet to come in on NY derby.

Put Both Teams To Score for Kansas v Atlanta, seems sound - what's your thoughts?

 

Safe bet for any Atlanta game

 

I wouldn't think it mattered if it was earlier or later in the season because we're so far ahead and we have a mental toughness that wasn't there pre-Rodgers.

If we lose to anyone, it'll be Lennon's Hibs.

Son, Trippier, Wanyama, Rose may all miss the opener next week. Shitty way to start the season.

I'm guessing we'll just go with a 4-2-3-1 formation with Dier and Davies as the fullbacks. Winks and Dembele at CM. And then Sissoko in Son's spot. That's still a strong side for a Newcastle game but the bench will be poop. Hopefully we get healthy or make a signing or two before Chelsea in two weeks.

He's had some nice moments in the preseason so I have a feeling they're giving him a chance to prove himself in the first couple games since guys are injured. If he flops then I could see him being moved close to the deadline.

Now on to me - Folks, I went to Wembley yesterday to watch Chelsea vs Arsenal!!! It was the first 'big game' I have ever seen live and holy shit what an experience. Our seats were 3 rows from the front, directly behind the goal - the one that Moses scored in! - and I don't think I've experienced anything like the joy of that goal going in for a long time, just collectively going mental with 30,000 other lunatics

It was a shame that Hazard, Sanchez and Ozil weren't playing but seeing those that did play just 10 feet away from me was awesome. All 80,000+ singing "stand up if you hate Tottenham" was banter too lmao.

Yeah excited to see him after a full season of football under his belt. He needs it.

 

Didn't even have our best three penalty takers step up (or on the pitch). Lacazette, Alexis, Ozil, Giroud, Ramsey, Walcott, Xhaka, Ox, etc. Lots of good set piece takers in our team.


Match was predictably average, good to see players like Kolasinac, Lacazette and Xhaka step up and play well. Glad we're keeping the 343 formation too. Considering our two star players (plus our best defender in Kos and Ramsey who looked great end of last season) were all not players, it was a good result. Hopefully we can start this season more organised than before and at very least get back into the CL this season. I'd take 3rd with a good run in all three cups after last season, but I'm quietly confident of much more than that.

 

Rumors that United and Chelsea want Sergi Roberto. Stay away from bae

 

Kolasinac was great - he is an absolute beast and Chelsea players were literally bouncing off him at times. I think Iwobi got MotM and he was great also, but Elneny surprised me too in how high his workrate was, he was everywhere!

 

He's a new contract coming.
