  1. I hope we get him. I like Davies but I'd rather have Sessegnon's huge potential backing up Rose right now.

Please stay away from Gylfi, thank you.

Also, why would Dani leave Juve? You've mentioned it twice now.

  4. There was some rumor about Spurs going after him. Then another article pulled up quotes where he said he wants to play PL before he's done. I highly doubt it happens but I want it so bad haha

There was a pretty big rumor of him joining Pep at City last summer before he went to Juve iirc. I wonder if they pulled those quotes from back then.

Griezmann making those comments are more or less confirmation for me. You can't go back to Atletico after making remarks like that, could you imagine the tension?

  7. I just want to live in a world where Alves is dishing out assists to Kane and Dele.

  8. Dele Alli stated he is staying at Tottenham.

Clearly he meant he was ready to leave dinner that night, it was taken out of context, clearly

Atleti must've gotten the transfer restriction removed as the current rumor has it they're snapping up Sandro from Malaga instead of Everton. Wondering if this'll make the Barca board trigger the buy-back clause and sell him for more than 6 mil. In today's market, he's worth more than that and clearly has potential and end product.

Kinda related, but I don't see United spending 100 mil on Griezmann to trigger his clause, which is honestly the only reason Atleti has to let him go with the restriction currently in place. And even if it is removed, they've got four more years on his contract. But what do I know.

It's kinda absurd how much money is in the EPL now. I saw an Arda Turan to Stoke rumor earlier today. It's been silly season less than two days.

I dunno, I don't think United paying the fee would be so crazy. I think it's the way we're going, very much the Galactico way. We've spunked a lot of money over the last few seasons and seem to want a marquee signing every summer. I could see us (and this is if we truly are in for him) getting Griezmann plus 2 others.

That isn't me saying that its right or wrong to do so, just my two cents.

I should probably clarify, I totally can see United doing just that. But is Griezmann really worth more than Ronaldo? And not much behind Bale and Pogba? Bringing in two 50 million strikers to replace Ibrahimovic/Rooney makes way more sense to me. But clearly I don't know the business end of these things.

Who else would we buy? That's the going rate these days. There isn't a chance in hell we would sell Ronaldo today for the money we did in 2009.

What are Lukaku and Morata going for? Fully aware Chelsea are in for both--but it's not like they'd both start under Conte's system and one could probably be lured to Old Trafford with that fact.

I just don't really know where Greizmann would fit into United's best line up. Up top on his own? Playing as a second striker in a 4-2-3-1? On the wing?

Unless everyone is totally sure Rashford can do the business up front on his own next season, it seems like a signing made just for the sake of it.

I do also agree with this tbh. I don't think there's anyone else willing and available. Lukaku maybe? Morata I didn't think was that highly rated. No chance for people like Kane or Aubameyang. It kinda makes the most sense in that regard.

He's been in a 4-4-2 for a couple seasons now. Would Mourinho switch to that to have him up top with Rashford?

    -----Griez---Rash-----
    Martial-Pogba-Mhki-Mata

Something like that? I could never figure out what Mou was doing.

  21. Lukaku to Chelsea
    Costa to Atletico
    Griezmann to United

Only Messi had a better minutes/goal ratio in La Liga and he outscored Benzema, James, Isco, and Bale this season, too. And that was as a clear second string player. I think whoever gets him, most likely Chelsea, will instantly see a boost.

Thats the thing, I don't think United have the squad to play to his strengths, and if we made the changes, I don't think it would play to Pogba's strengths. To play a 4-4-2 we'd need to replace probably midfielders at least, and even then it would get overrun in the league.

Oh, ignore me then. I honestly haven't seen much of him, just seen others say about him never having had a double digit season in the league or something, and people saying he was overvalued. Doesn't matter.

I agree all around. I think he works on the left in a 4-2-3-1, but so does Martial and that still leaves the Rashford question. He also works as a #10 in that situation, but so does Mata/Mhki. I guess it also depends on who is signed elsewhere on the pitch.

The more we talk about it, the more galactico just because it seems.
