We've been lucky to have Davies and Trippier as backups. They could easily start for most teams in the league.

 

I don't think that was luck. They were very shrewd signings. Having Walker, Rose, Davies and Trippier available and able to rotate in and out to keep them fresh over the last 2 (I think?) seasons is a position a number of teams would probably love to find themselves in.

 

Jaysis Aaron Lennon detained by police under the mental health act. Apparently standing near the edge of a bridge on a motorway. Everton say it's a "stress related illness" I hope he gets better soon.

This team is so fun. Building through the academy is (IMO) the best way to build your squad. The community is so attached to these guys it's so great to see

 

Rumours are that Mike Ashley will hand Rafa £70m to work with this summer. I hope that's true. With a handful of solid signings, Premier League safety should be very achievable with that.

That being said, the idea of MA handing over that sort of money and letting Rafa spend it as he sees fit does seem quite fanciful...

 

Surely Rafa will have to do a few extra weekends at Sports Direct to get that money
