    We need to sign that ref to replace Clattenburg. Such a homer.

    Kevin Costigan.

    Costigan is so boring, don't remember him doing much broadcasting, he's normally in the Fox studios with hosting duties. A quick google search shows he's just been hired as the new Sounders announcer?

    Nice. Martial destroyed their rightback all night, not even an option for United's official MOTM...

    I was trying to describe myself to someone

    I guess referees aren't contracted like players and are on contracts where they can just resign and play out a notice period. I expect that the powers that be never expected some other federation going around snapping up their referees. :crylaugh:

    One thing that is slightly bugging me over the last few days is the people, who never support or particularly care about Arsenal, who seem to act like we were Preston North End before Arsene Wenger took over. Yes, Arsene is a living legend, but he isn't bigger than the club. We were one of the most successful clubs in England before him, and we will be one of the most successful after him too.

    Apparently Michael Oliver is off to the MLS. Please footballing gods let this happen.

    You'll be in for a shock if you think the current refs in the Premier League are bad.

  21. Nick

    @fangclubb Prestigious

    OK? Maybe the FA will actually focus on creating decent referees.

    Except the refs in the Premier League are actually decent. But no way to convince you because they're the worst thing ever to exist. Keep wishing them to leave so refs who aren't ready are forced to move up and make more mistakes, guess you'll get more fun out watch the game because complaining about refs is the only thing you like to do these days.

    Gutted for Oxford. Hard to take a late winner there. Shocked Leicester lost and City drew.

    The ref in the Hertha - Bayern game yesterday made some very questionable decisions, especially the free kick Robben should have gotten for a clear foul right on the edge of the box. In the end though, Bayern were lucky to get the draw. Interested to see how Hertha progress this season, currently sixth but having played Bayern twice, I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up qualifying for Europe again this season. There's a few areas they definitely need to strengthen, like on the right wing, but if players like Stark, Brooks and Plattenhardt stay then they have a chance against anyone on their day.
