Ipswich U23's just beat Watford U23's 8-0. Call them all up for the next game, someone other than Lawrence might score.

 

Genuinely insane that people think it's a fair goal, but at the same time, that shouldn't be used as an excuse for the result.

 

oh i didn't even watch the game, i just saw highlights and it looked like chelsea were much the better team and it was just usual arsenal stuff, but the way people were talking about that goal was insane to me. and then you get a tweet like this:

 

I saw it live and it looked clean from the telly. Looked simply like Bellerin was out jumped. Replays showed differently, but we all know when a commentator says something they double down because they're never wrong. Everyone else just falls in line.

What's everyone's site of choice to follow the EPL/soccer in general.

 

i just use forums. here and a united forum. follow plenty of journalists and footie twitters tho

 

Generally just the /r/soccer and /r/gunners subreddits, an Arsenal forum, and I listen to a few choice podcasts, mainly Football Ramble, but quite often Football Weekly and the Spanish Football Podcast, and even the Arseblog podcast and Talking Fussball from time to time.

The Guardian also has some great think pieces and interviews.

 

apparently phillip lahm will retire at the end of the season? wtf?

 

I think 33 is a good time to retire for Lahm. I think there's too many who play until 37-38 that probably shouldn't. Lahm is not good enough as a CDM at Bayern's level to prolong his career there.

rumours barca players went to the board to tell them andre gomes isn't good enough loool then he plays better than all of them this week.

 

tbf he's been the worst signing of the last two seasons by far. even the mostly bust aleix vidal and paco alcacer have scored.

 

God paco really ruined his career by going to Barca. Hope he makes it out alive.

 

I'm assuming he wouldn't be welcome back at Valencia, think he could go somewhere like Villarreal next? Or would he be better suited going abroad, maybe to Italy?
