Hi Gare!

I wanted to change the username but I figured this one was ironic enough. Character limit kept me from going The Artist FKA unfortunately.

 

I've been researching a lot about personal branding and wanted to go with my name.

Hope things have been well, bud! I see your posts every now and then, but never consistently enough to know what's going on.

 

So busy with work and regular life things, not to mention looking at moving and changing jobs. I have barley been able to keep up with City and the Nats. Scared to see what happens when I go back for my masters in a year.

Hope everything is well with you! I follow you more on social media then I do in the thread anymore.

 

@TheGuyfkaFringeofLunacy Did you get the Big Job you were hinting at for awhile? Would you move from your sweet downtown place to somewhere else local, or big move? Masters in what?

Haha, yeah. A lot of the guys and the gals from the Columbus days on social media more than anything, too. Kinda hoping we can see a revitalization of that here, but we'll see. I've been doing well. Unemployed, freelancing, trying to find something that isn't toxic. Trying to find anything, really. I broke 400 job applications since college earlier this week. That was brutal.

 

Have I made a terrible mistake going with my boring name instead of Hamburglar as my username?

It's actually stressing me out to an embarrassing level.

 

@Jeff Welcome! And most of us did the boring thing. But Hamburglar was pretty boss.

 

I guess I've always wanted to be able to claim my first name before some other asshole named Jeff beats me to it.

Hopefully word gets out to all our other comrades. And maybe this thread can "annoy the servers" like the olden days.

Dark theme is where it's at, also. Figured I'd try out the supporters membership, don't know if I'll be able to go back to the all white. Hurts my eyes.

 

Mine's dumb/boring too and I've also had regrets. Didn't think of this thing over here as such a permanent thing when I signed up, more of a "sigh...fine I'll see what all the fuss is about" thing.

Also I haven't gone supporter yet but I probably will in the nearish future, and dark mode will be a big motivator.

I joined as Somedaythefire despite spending the last week of my life on ap complaining about my username. After about 3-4 days I paid to change it.

 

Before the madness happens later, not that I'm expecting this thread to suddenly boom, I just wanted to say something again. The football/soccer thread on ap was a big part of my internet presence and well my life for a large number of years now. It's slowed down a lot for a number of reason's we in there talked about a bit over the last 6 or so months. But, what I really want to say is I want this thread to blossom on Chorus, really take the place of the old thread that is missing now. A thread full of love, of the game and each other. One where we can drive talk about the tactics and selections of football, without potentially scaring away new posters.

An open, inclusive, loving and informative thread, something the ap thread hasn't been at least for a while now. I know we're all busy with life and what not and it won't be what it was overnight but I really do think with a new site and a new start we can make this place special.

 

I'll definitely second that. It's crazy how the times have changed, and the interactions, but at it's core, this thread was always really fun and filled with a love for footy.

 

I miss the crazy match days we used to have, sometimes covering several pages.

 

During the Clasico last October, I was thinking back to when one of those games covered like nine pages on AP, and that one only had like nine posts... probably all me. I realize I'm one of the few La Liga fans, but that really stood out to me for some reason. (Fittingly, the next Clasico is Saturday.)

Match days used to be crazy, three EPL games in a row, maybe a La Liga, then two two three MLS games, all while using the DJ room. So good.

 

Ok guys I get the hint. I'll up my hair critique posting during matches. I never realised it was so popular.
