Tom Hanks says he bet $146 on Leicester to win at the beginning of the season. He may or may not have been joking, but if it's true, he could have won $730,000. We should all be so lucky.

I'm fairly certain he was joking about that at a premier in London last week. He is a football fan though, he supports Aston villa I think.

 

Yeah, he said he was slightly less agonized over Aston Villa's disastrous season because he bet on Leicester to win. I think he was joking too.

 

Bournemouth fined for breaching Financial Fair Play rules in the season they got promoted. Such a fairytale.

They made it by breaching rules, including trebling their staff budget and recording big losses. One of the benefits of having a rich ownership. Took a huge gamble and it paid off as they can only be punished with a fine.

Won't let those facts get in the way of a fairytale story though.

 

I see, the article I read made it seem like just the cost involved with updating the Vitality stadium to meet premier leagues standards would have put them past the limit anyways. So if you're going to get fined go all out.
