Can’t stand Citizen

Haven’t you guys done this before? Lol

 

Citizen are ok. They’re not offensively bad, but they’re also just kind of....fine.

 

For some reason citizen never hit it off with this community, not sure why. Def a top band for me at this point! I found this app that tracks your all time music listening through Apple Music, I was shocked that citizen came in at no. 6 as my most listened to artists.

That September 2017 show. Was a marvelous holy-crap-there-is-a-massive-CAT5-hurricane-coming-why-am-I-at-Disney-and-a-concert kind of show.

Stuffing being the day before Thanksgiving is a no go for this old man.

 

Honestly, I just kind of thought it was too obvious the guy was a huge Brand New fan and was trying to do that sort of voice/writing.

 

i remember there was a period of like 2 years where citizen opened for like 10 different shows i was going to and every single time they were so so boring. that was a while ago so idk if things have changed.

 

Citizen rules super hard smh

 

Eh, i think thats just one of many influences especially on EIGTH and AYP...

 

I highly doubt I go in early enough to check out Oso Oso...I'll maybe get there in time for Foxing.

 

Yea this seems like a crime.

 

Only thing I can say about citizen is there was obnoxious moshing during their set and the singer seemed very angry lol

Facts

 

I only love one Manchester Orchestra album all the way through, tho I do like most of their music. Foxing is great, NMG is definitely a huge accomplishment and one of my faves from last year. But I’ve connected with the last two Oso Oso albums on a level I just haven’t connected with anything MO or Foxing, or many artists for that matter, have put out in the last few years.

 

I am seeing Oso tonight and am very excited so I will just accept this for now
