especially when all those guitar layers are running through compressors and then the master track is getting compressed and the drums are getting compressed etc there’s absolutely no dynamics left in the song and that’s where that flat sound comes from

I generally am not super big on live recordings. Will usually just listen once or twice, but I can’t stop listening to this.

This has been on repeat the past couple days. The film was a nice bonus too. As others have said, this is the official version of COPE for me. No notes. Incredible.

 

Tried to watch it with my two year old daughter. She was loving the music, but she has an aversion to applause and started uncontrollably crying at the end of each song. Sadly had to switch it off during the third song - don’t want to put her off Manchester Orchestra so early! (For the record she is happy listening to the actual albums, thankfully!)

 

My two year old daughter loves Manchester. Show her bed head music video, and talk about how the little girl loves playing with her dad… we’ve sat there and watched the bedhead video 10 times in a row together before.

My brother is a huge Manchester fan and just had a kid so my nephew is def gonna love this band lol

this thing absolutely rips. so glad they added Scripture to end too. easily my favourite song from cope era

 

Hope this inspires them to throw more songs from Cope into the live rotation. I think some dates got The Mansion last year and my did not. I would've loved to see this version.
