How does everyone feel about Million Masks nearly a year and a half later? Top 3 songs? Where does it fall in your album rankings?

Angel of Death has become my favorite song of theirs and I can’t stop playing the 3 song run of Angel—>Keel —> Bed.

This is up there and may be higher for me than Black Mile now after seeing it live.

I may be in the minority here, but I don’t find myself relistening to it beyond a few tracks.

It flirts with 2 or 3 depending on the day. Black Mile is just unreachable for me.

Manchester might be the band that is hardest to rank albums for me. I just can’t do it.

Honestly I love this era of the band so much I rarely go back to their older stuff even though I love it too.

Couldn’t tell you the last time I listened to this album. Wouldn’t know where I would exactly put it in my rankings, but definitely not top three

The opening stretch of songs on this album is possibly my favorite thing they've ever done, but I don't like the second half of the album nearly as much. Usually I only listen to the first half and then stop.

I like MMOG more than BMTtS. I also would have METN and virgin at the top. Different records and different songs for different fans.

  10. I still really only like Angel, Keel, Bed, and Dinosaur tbh

Let It Storm and Way Back are probably my favorite songs on here

Obstacle is so good, the bridge starting with the line “in the light, you arrive as the curtain closes…” until the end of the song is the epitome of what makes Andy such a good singer/songwriter. Musical bliss IMO. The transition into Way Back makes it that much better.

A little late to the Patreon discussion. I have been a $5 contributor from the start and I am also starting to question how long I’ll continue. I enjoyed it during the Sinful math theme, because I was hearing unreleased bsides each month, but once it flipped to MmOG and now cope I just don’t have as much of an interest in most of the demo versions of album tracks they have shared.

I do like the priority vinyl pre order perk though, and while my tier doesn’t have the live concerts, we do occasional get the concert mp3s, and some have some cool versions of songs, which I have enjoyed.

    Annie is the best.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

Bed Head, Telepath and Obstacle are the only 3 off this that really stuck with me but man they stuck hard

I think we should petition to get Dinosaur (Live) on streaming services because that version is incredible and really brings the song to life.

I still love MMoG, but it is firmly behind Black Mile for me, and probably METN, too. I'd likely rank it third.

MMoG is my favorite. I love every single one, though. I just know know how they keep doing it. They have one of the best discographies of any band with that many albums. They always evolve each album but somehow don’t lose their identity at all

    Tier 2-
    I’m like a Virgin
    MMOG

    Tier 3-
    Cope/Hope

This is with the caveat that I love all of their albums. I just don’t return to MMOG as much as I have with their other albums outside of Cope.

Depends on when you discovered the band. I lean Virgin and METN heavy in my favourite albums from this band. I guess that why they release more than 1 album though, because otherwise all our rankings would be the same.
