They were awesome last night. I don’t think I’d seen them since Simple Math came out so the everything they played from BMTTS and this was a real treat.

Me last night when they mentioned their first show here was 15 years ago and I realized I was at that show and then processed it was FIFTEEN YEARS AGO

I was there last night too! It was my first time seeing them though. I've waited since 2009 to see them, and it was definitely worth the wait. Hearing "Top Notch" live was so much better than the album version. I'd prefer just a live recording of that album now. There was a bit of hilarious stage banter between Andy and someone in the crowd yelling Merry Christmas at them. He then started playing "Have yourself a merry little christmas" and it was a special moment. 10/10 loved the show. Perfect blend of MMOG/BMTTS with a with one song each from other albums. Can't wait for their next tour.

"Angel of Death", "The Internet", and "Shake It Out" (my fav MO song ever) were highlights. They did an extended outro on "Dinosaur" that was badass.

I did do something I've never done before, which is leave before the final song. They started "The Silence" tease leading into "100 dollars" and I've never cared for that song, so perfect time to dip out before the crowd dispersed.

I was pleased to see 95% of the crowd kept their masks on the whole time as well.

I was so irritated at ppl not wearing masks. I was at the same venue a few weeks ago and staff seemed pretty on top of the mask stuff but maybe I just wasn't paying as much attention to the crowd then. I didnt really see them doing it at all last night. There was a group behind me not wearing any, someone right in the front row by staff not wearing one, and def people on the balcony who weren't drinking anything and then just a random smattering of ppl who weren't. I was like :sly:

Not a terrible ratio, but wtf people

what's the merch situation for the bands on the tour? the same as online stores or different stuff?

Ugh, yeah that's awful. Sorry you saw more instances of non-maskers. I only saw a handful not wearing them, but I was in the special seating area from stage left since one of my friends had a crutch, so didn't have the best view of the crowd. I do recall this woman being given a mask at entry since apparently she "forgot hers in her car". We've been doing this for how many years now and you just "forgot" the one thing you need to enter any establishment? I did have to deal with obnoxiously tall people standing right in front of us, but that's a standard occurrence for any show.

It just dawned on me that concerts are going to suck after the mask mandates are lifted. So many opportunities for spreading. Dammit. :swear:

I can only speak for MO, but none of the merch there was listed in the online store. All original designs. I recall limited availability of a orange/black tie dye shirt with the METN era logo on it. If you spent $90+, you got a random mystery shirt (leftovers of old designs), but they were out of Larges early. If I recall, MO had approx 6 tshirts, a jacket, signed tour poster, signed vinyl, and koozie for purchase. Foxing had 4-5 shirts and some vinyl. Michigander had 2 shirts and vinyl.

Come to think of it, Michigander put on a really great show. I recognized a few catchy singles.

If anyone needs tickets for LA this Saturday hit me up. Wife and I can no longer go and trying to recoup whatever funds I can. Have a Keel Timing package (early entry + signed poster and stuff) and one regular ticket. DM me if interested. Need to get the will call name changed today. Thanks.

    The rivalry is back on

My show is tonight and I’m very excited because somehow I lived in Atlanta for 30 years and have never seen MO live

plus this album cycle got my wife into them so that’ll be an added bonus having her into the new stuff

This is something I noticed last night, too. Complete opposite of being at TWY at the Crystal a few weeks ago and having security threaten to throw people out any time their mask even slipped down.

Oh hey, I was right by / in front of you. I am not obnoxiously tall though, so at least it wasn't me blocking you haha

What a show. We got The Silence instead of Shake It Out. Andy also did a bit of The River leading into Telepath because he felt bad about making fun of a guy shouting it out all night lol. The show was much tighter than even the ABMTTS tour from four-five years ago.

For it being my first MO show, I would've been so bummed if they hadn't played Shake It Out. To be fair, I acknowledge the song has been a staple in their setlists for almost 13 years, but it was an all-time concert highlight for me finally hearing it. However, I would've gladly traded 100 Dollars and The Alien to hear The Silence.

If I hadn’t seen them play it before, I would’ve been bummed too. Definitely would have traded $100 for almost any other song of theirs lol

Lucky you! I would've loved to see METN played in full like that. The closest that (short) tour came to Portland was San Fran.... could not afford that trip LOL. Last I checked in 2017, Motel 6 nearby was $250 a night. :-O
