Big Thief has been vying for my favorite band for a couple years now. Just a truly special collection of musicians.

Dinosaur is my least favorite on here in part because my wife makes me skip to the next track when it gets really loud and yell-y

    still a great song.

I love everything that big thief puts out, but to emphatically say that everything they’ve released (and their solo stuff) outdoes all of Manchester Orchestra’s discography is absolutely asinine

I’ve been a bigger MO fan for longer, but I’m much more likely to put on a Big Thief record today than I am a MO record.

Ok that’s more reasonable, I think.

Still not sure I’m there with you, personally. And that’s ok.

Both bands are great at having many layers to their songwriting, but Big Thief is so much more dense, to me.

Harder for me to put their stuff on for casual listening so I return to something like Two Hands far more rarely than albums from their contemporaries.
