guys you don’t have to name every album. i get there are examples. just the vast majority of albums are headphones albums to the point that it’s funny when people point it out. similar to when people say “this song fits the context of the album better than on its own.” like, no shit haha. i’ve been guilty of both. it’s fine.

Off topic but theres a lot of vinyl talk in here: does anyone use a record weight? On my ATLP 120 i can see the needle move slightly where some records are a little warped. it doesnt generally affect play, but I wondered if the weight actually helped or if its a gimmick.

I bought a somewhat cheap one on Amazon a few months back. Tbh I haven’t noticed much of a difference, but I also have two kids under 4 so I’m not always the most engaged or frequent listener.

I bought it for the same reason you mentioned, and I can say certain warped records feel a little more secure, but I truly do not know whether or not I recommend it.

Listening to old stuff today, and it's crazy how much their sound has changed. Andy's vocals just sound shredded on METN. Probably good that he cut back on the smoking.

 

I’ve had one for years, and I’d recommend.

It definitely helps on slight warps and HELPS eliminate ancillary vibrations (if you have your speakers on the same shelf (which you really shouldn’t), kids running by, etc.).

I live in the desert, so I get SLIIIIIGHTLY warped vinyl from time to time, so this was a life saver.

 

I have my record player on the bottom shelf of a bookshelf, which is on a hardwood floor and when my girl or I walk by quickly, it’s made some skipping occur. So I think a weight is for me.

 

Anyone else's still stuck on Fox Valley? I mean its getting ridiculous right now. Both mine and my brothers are stuck on shipment received, package acceptance pending.
