this is overall much more Black Mile Pt II than the descriptions led me to expect (and not just because of the repeated melodies/lyrics)

a lot of the descriptions actually suggested this is black mile pt. 2, and i think i kinda disagree. mood of the second side at least feels singular to me

“annie” is prob my least favorite song on the record bc it could be so easily spliced into black mile, just imo

Maybe my expectations for The Internet were really low because a lot of y'all seemed disappointed in it, but I think it SLAPS as a closer.

    okay yeah annie is great

still haven’t heard anything remotely sonically similar to radiohead yet haha

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Radiohead comparisons are way too loosely thrown around on here

So we've hit fan theory time!

Does anyone think Angel of Death is a sequel to The Grocery? It sounds a lot like the shooter's family processing the events after they happened as well as their relationship to him. It may also be what Bed Head is about, the fractured relationship between the two brothers.
    @ManchesterOrch8 thoughts?

"Keel Timing" into "Bed Head" rules. Also the former is a great song, I feel like people were a little eh on it when it came out, but it's one of my favorites on this so far.

people throw a deluxe memory man on their new album and suddenly they’re experimental

It was a weird single choice. I get why they did it, but it was still weird.

"keel timing" and "bed head" are so wonderful and similar that it's hilarious to me some people only love the latter

I mean this album is pretty out there for them. Idk if it's experimental in relation to other music, but for them definitely.

tbrr "let it storm" is my least favorite because as a lapsed catholic "I don't wanna hold back my faith anymooooore" makes me crave death

it ain't fair but it's true

oh sure. it can even be “their radiohead album.” it doesn’t sound anything like radiohead haha. people said the same thing about hayley, which sounded closer to that than this, but still pretty far from it

Bedhead was a good first single choice.

I just find this way more interesting than BMTTS. Except The Gold. I still love that song.
