Im gonna be sorely tempted to pick up a copy at my local shop tomorrow just to have it - is there an indie store exclusive variant we know of that would make that endeavor worth it?

 

Here’s an obstacle: I STILL DON’T HAVE THIS FUCKING ALBUM.

Canadian here...

Amazon.ca has the vinyl but it's unclear whether it's just black vinyl or the light blue variant. Photos show both...no indication in the actual title. Any ideas?

I think US Amazon had light blue and Pink Smoke.

 

Black is UK exclusive, I believe.

 

Mine is still on Acceptance Pending too. Really hope they email out a digital download tomorrow because who knows when the record will come.

I had both the hardcover book vinyl and the slipmat in my order, so I presume that’s what’s keeping mine in “shipped” state without a tracking number.

Hoping my indie store (Bull Moose) has some pink smoke variants at my location tomorrow. If so, I’ll grab one.

 

honestly I don't need to hear music opinions from two people whose favorite bands are metallic and dave Matthews band lol

 

I'm using a VPN to listen to this album while I'm still coherent (covid shot #2 was today!) and OH MY GOODNESS. Okay, I get the hype that everyone who had an advance was talking about with this record. It is great.

 

Did people get advances? I wasn’t aware.

Haha I can post pics in a little. Yeah I’m not sure what was the big surprise. I don’t know what the standard is but I assume it’s something with the packaging? It’s a gatefold, with a glossy finish and some texture around the circle on the cover. Otherwise it just comes with a poster/lyric book. The variant I got (clear with pink+ blue) is absolutely sick.

 

Maybe you weren’t one of the chosen ones to get something extra in your packaging. We were all made to believe there would be something undeniably special in those.
