Catchiest part of the song is that guitar lead following the chorus. It's so good. It's so simplistic, but it's just so perfect.

that fai-ai-aith variation at the end is still my favorite part.

Yes. So many perfect melodic choices in this song but that little detail is my favorite.

Is that the same Sufjan record where he sings about being crowned prom queen to disastrous results?

Colly means blackened with coal dust, so fits perfectly for a song about mining!

    I do not exist.

It's the album where he talks about his mother's death. His mother who abandoned him as a child.

I have definitely listened to The Gold at least 30 times. Grabbed the new one and ILAV on LP too, so that's exciting

  10. Excited for a new MO album. Always loved ILAV, METN and Simple Math. Cope is probably a great album under the production but the overly fuzzy guitars and low drums ruin it for me. I'll be honest and say I probably only listened to Hope like once or twice.

Lol. I was making a dumb joke referring to the movie Carrie. Carrie & Lowell is one of my favorite albums. :)

Man i LOVE the direction they seem to be going in especially after Cope/Hope. Seems like it will be very interesting musically with lots going on just the way i like it.

Thats what i've been hoping for. Seems like working on the Swiss Army soundtrack has really opened them up creatively. Not a knock on any of their past albums but i've never been blown away by their sound. That maybe sounds a bit harsh because i thoroughly enjoy everything they have done but O'Bro for example has been a little more interesting musically speaking ie guitar tones, sounds, effects, etc

What song is that clip from? That was definitely the song that was playing when you called the number they posted.

Is your username a reference to the Sights & Sounds song? What a record that is. Devin Townsend's production is stellar.

Edit: Also the artwork is top notch.

Yeah, you got it! Still one of my favourite records. Would love to hear more from them but it seems Andrew is still keeping busy with Comeback Kid

Sweet listening to the record now. Still love it. Was searching to see if I could find it on wax would love to add it to my collection. Perfect example of a beautiful atmospheric ocean of noise and sounds lol. And yeah they released a single last year called Within my reach not sure if they have anything else in the works. Since it's only a side project it's not surprising if it's on the backburner. But I really enjoy S & S much more than all the other projects they are involved in. Trade Wind is another band that I really enjoy but I'm not into their main projects as much. Bummer that it's only a side project as well. Hopefully they release more stuff too, they are too good not to.
