Yeah agreed. Without that I wouldn't like it as much lol

    Motel. Money. Murder. Madness.

The Parts made this record for me, to hear such a clear and beautiful ode to the love of your life - I can never not tear up a bit.

He wrote an entire record about being a lost young married guy, struggling to find the ability to be the man he needs to be, and to then seemingly become that man and write a song about the most beautiful thing that can come from that relationship. Nothing can be more touching, to me.

You really did love this record. Remember reading your thoughts when you first heard it at the listening party and getting so hyped.

whats funny is thats sort of the story of black mile at times. Guy doesn't know if he can be a dad so he throws himself in front of a car to commit suicide and then loses his mind and shoots up a grocery.

I just listened to this and it might be the first time I've listened to a full MO record. I know I had Virgin downloaded way back in the day but I can't remember anything about it

This record is very cool though, really liked it

    Oh lord. :crylaugh:

But seriously, The Parts is truly great.

In other news, RAGC presses are already flipping for 150+. Fucking atrocious.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

The Wolf is eerily similar to I Can Feel a Hot One in this analysis damn

It’s been said and it will be said again, this album flows perfectly. No one try to take The Mistake or The Parts out of it or I’ll find where you live and demand that you apologize.

Loving cope again lately. It’s so weird there’s times where I’m so mum on it and times I really love and connect with it. It’s a great roll the windows down and crank the volume to 10 album.

I think I’ll be kicking myself for a long time not grabbing it. Idk what I was thinking... I had it in my cart too and last second thought “I don’t really need this”.. if he ever presses the live album I’ll buy that in a heartbeat. I don’t know how that album isn’t more popular

Just wait for the 2020 repress.

I imagine he will press it, but I think he's concerned about looking like a cash grab band. He wants to give people what they want, without looking greedy. Which is more than a lot of bands can say.

I'm real curious as to where they go from here.

They're very much a consistantly progressive band. You can see how they got to each new record from listening to the last one, but where do you go from a record like Black Mile?

I feel like we might get something completely out of left field.

idk.. maybe something like black mile but with a little more bite? I was also thinking they could write a handful of songs like The Gold and make a lot of money haha

whatever it is, it will be great. Andy and Rob have really refined their songwriting skills. Andy's voice is on God tier at this point, I could listen to him sing the alphabet and the album would still get a 8/10 from me

I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get another MO record until 2020 or 2021. They've been doing a ton of touring/festivals in the past year. I'm assuming once Bad Books III drops, they'll do a Bad Books tour in 19 and then maybe even take a break. But even if they started writing/recording in 2019, my guess is earliest we'd see another record is 2020.
