There’s two songs, an avett brothers cover from a few months ago and then a new song , that was written during black mile but wasn’t recorded until after.

 

I just don’t follow this band closely enough to have known about that cover haha, also not really familiar with Avett Bros music.

I was listening to METN this morning on the way to work, and it reminded me of the time I saw them in London and during Shake It Out when they were doing an extended outro, Tim played the drums so hard he threw up on himself

I feel like I have to say this every time something is released, but Andy Prince is the shit. Always has the best lines.

 

Yea really incredible player. Also at our show on Wednesday he was wearing a polo and looked like Steve from Stranger things haha

new song would of been one of my fave songs on black mile had it been on the record.

 

I had it but then I changed it and @slowheart had it and hasn’t changed it!

 

Curious, where would you put it in the sequence of the album?

Yeah this song is incredible. Such a nice companion piece to Black Mile.

 

If I had my druthers, this would’ve been on the album and “The Parts” would not have been.

This guy did the artwork for the new single. His ig story shows the making of right now.

 

I feel like if I Know How to Speak was on the album, it would have felt a little tired given how it shares so much sonically and melodically with the trio on ABMTTS. I’m glad it’s a stand-alone track, but remember, anyone can make a playlist and just pop it right into whatever part of the track list you’d like.

 

Yea I’m glad it isn’t on the album.. the trio works so well together.

Their Folkadelphia Sessions from 2014 are a lot of fun.

 

My local “alternative” station just played Bad Books (Forest Whittaker) and it blew my mind.
