Mamalarky have signed with Epitaph Records.

Mamalarky, the tri-coastal indie rock quartet, have signed to Epitaph Records and release a new single “Nothing Lasts Forever.” The track showcases the band’s signature blend of infectious, head-sticking hooks paired with heartfelt, love-lorn lyrics. What sets them apart is their intricate instrumental interplay, which creates a rich, immersive soundscape that invites listeners to lean in closely and get lost in the music.

"We were in the dead of the summer experiencing another climate-crisis heatwave in LA with no AC. This song kind of sizzled out as our brain cells were struggling to fire. Everyone started dancing. We were supposed to be writing songs for someone else but we liked this one too much so we never sent it in,” Livvy Bennett explains. "We wanted to write about how it feels to not entirely know where you stand with someone. To think that you can see the future but ultimately surrender to uncertainty. The lyrics are obviously a little contradiction. Maybe not knowing is part of the fun?"

“Nothing Lasts Forever” marks the first taste of new music from the band since the release of their acclaimed 2022 albumPocket Fantasy, which Pitchfork said “smartly doubles down on the proggy quirks and little incoherences that make them such a unique force while still maintaining the effortless charm of their previous music,” and Paste praised saying it “lands in uncharted waters with a magnificent technicolor splash.”

Mamalarky is Livvy Bennett, Noor Khan, Michael Hunter and Dylan Hill.
