Please tell me someone watched some of the Mythic Historic Invitational from this past week. It was a disaster lol

WotC needs to figure out a spectator mode for tournaments like this. The stream was such bad quality and considering these players were in their basements or home offices, it was all over the place. At one point, they completely lost connection to the stream. They also had no support for players who don’t have English as their preferred language so you had cards in Japanese, English, Portuguese, etc. and no translation for casual viewers. It sucks for the broadcasters and players because usually these tournaments are pretty good. They clearly didn’t prepare for tournament in the pandemic.

It would be such a bad look to ban Omnath, but they haven't exactly been making the best decisions gameplay wise lately anyway. Clover makes more sense since it's not a chase card of the new set

 

Top 8 at worlds only has one deck that isn't red/green lol

 

The Omnath mirror matches are pretty crazy and fun to watch but it’s still such an unhealthy standard.

 

Yeah I was shocked to see that it's even more skewed than the Oko meta, which is when I quit playing
