We reach for the longest shadow

Its hard to put into words what Meteora meant to 12 year old me. theres no way i would have the taste in music that i do now if it wasnt for them. love them or hate them, Chester had an incredible voice.

  2. Holy shit, I just heard and I have goosebumps. He had such a great voice in the rock world. So sad. Thoughts go out to his family and friends.

  3. wow, didn't even make that connection til i read your post and did some googling to find out what you were even referencing. makes a lot of sense now.

I can't remember the last musician/celebrity to die that I literally couldn't get any work done after because of. I legitimately want to cry

It was Paul Walker for me. But this one has taken a surprisingly hard it on me too.

Just terrible. I feel for his family. I've lost an uncle to suicide but can't imagine what it's like to lose a spouse or parent in such a way. LP were huge for me when I first got into music on my own. RIP.

I'm in the same boat. I was always a big David Bowie, Prince, Stone Temple Pilots and Soundgarden fan, but none of those hit me like this. I swear to god yesterday at work I was arguing with a co-worker about how important Linkin Park is to the history of rock and how Chester has one of the most unique voices. I haven't been able to do anything at work today.

  15. This one hit me today because of how I love the first two albums. I remember being in middle school and when the video for " One Step Closer " was released and I freaked out because I had never seen or heard anything like it.

Also have always loved "My December" dearly. It's definitely the song I went back to most.

    Assume It's A Bit

Fuck I can't believe this. Chester and Mike have been my idols since I was 11 years old. Linkin Park have been a huge part of my life, and seeing Chester go like this is just devastating. I haven't felt this lost in a long time. RIP Chester.

Jesus I swear that just happened to me. I was listening to all of A Thousands Sun and when the climax kicks in for Waiting for the End I just got chills all over my body. His voice is so damn powerful, particularly on that one.

So incredibly powerful. This hurts like hell

  25. For some reason I've had this song in mind for the past hour, probably the deep cut / rarity I've listened to the most
