Worked for the guy from Lamb of God. He used to do vocal warmups, smoke and drink, and then record so he could get the deepest vocals he could.

 

I'm pretty damn loud by default though. My voice just travels through laws no problem

I don't want a ridiculously deep voice. I just don't want to have to deal with the stupid people who assume my voice means I'm gay. "Are you sure? *wink*" has happened more than once. Ugh. People.
