Lifeline is forever ruined for me. I saw them live shortly after this album released at the House of Blues in Cleveland with The Color Fred opening. Near me and my friend that was there with me there was this absolute intoxicated girl shouting after every song

“PLAY LIFELINE!” “TOM I LOVE YOU PLAY LIFELINE!” “TOM ILL HAVE YOUR BABIES IF YOU PLAY LIFELINE!” PLAY! LIFELINE! PLEASE!”


At one point I yelled at her to shut the hell up, and when she turned to her boyfriend he goes “Well he’s not wrong”

 

Lifeline - fuck this one was hard. Giving a ballad a chance here.

Secret Crowds - don’t actually love either

Sirens - love the chorus

Heaven - also fucking hard but I’ll give heaven the edge here. That outro is sick.

True Love/Sirens was a tough one because i love everything about True Love but don't particularly care for the chorus, while Sirens i love the chorus but don't particularly care for the rest of the song. so i just went with True Love because i guess i love "more" of it lol

I always forget what Heaven sounds like.
Every time I try to sing it in my head, I start singing the chorus to Dashboard Confessional's Heaven instead.
Which is weird because I probably haven't listened to that song in a decade. My brain is so weird.

Same with Breathe for me. I always think of Diary from STPBP since that's the first word. (if I'm remembering correctly)

 

Call To Arms (This was a fairly easy decision - Lifeline is fine, but it's in this album's middle tier for me)

Secret Crowds (This was very easy - Secret Crowds is one of my favorite songs on the album and while I think that Breathe is a good song, I've always found it a bit dull)

Sirens (This was the toughest one for me this round - I'll give the edge to Sirens since it doesn't have an overly long intro)

Heaven (This one was actually a bit tougher than I'd expected)

Rite of spring's lyrics are like bad poetry from a 15 year old on myspace. I'm sure it's important to him since it's autobiographical and just laying his life on the table but it's not for me.
