I mean I'm not happy bout it- I'm just neutral. Dug a couple songs and that was it. Letlive. really stings. Like Gatsby's American Dream break up sting

I have no idea. His voice sounded in bad shape when I saw them at Warped, though.

GAD break-up isn't too bad as long as you're alright with Money Pit being a little more traditionally structured with less razzle-dazzle drumming

I'm interested to see how many people who weren't into IITD, went to the headliner this past summer? Also super bummed about the news, some of the greatest dudes I've met & talking with Jason over the years was always something I've really looked fwd too, will definitely miss that.

That's a great record for sure, but I must have overplayed it. Music is pretty much timeless to me in general but I never feel like putting it on. I go back and forth between their 3 later full lengths for favorite of theirs.

I'll be honest, I wasn't super into IITD and Seahaven bores the shit out of me. In retrospect I really really wish I caught that show, because Letlive is now dead and I love Night Verses now.

Can anyone tell me if Jean went on to do another project after he left the band?

I guess I'll share my thoughts.

I first listened to Fake History in early 2012 (February I think) after reading someone praising it in an AP.net thread. I was 23 at the time and was beginning to grow out of heavy music. I don't know what it was about that album but I was hooked instantly and it was really the only thing I listened to until summer started. I say that without any exaggeration or hyperbole.

It's weird to me because I realize that will probably be the last time I completely obsess over a new band like that. I feel like I'm at the point in my life where my taste in music is pretty much set. Yes I still look for new music and enjoy hearing new things, but I don't see myself completely obsessing with a record again like I did with Fake History or a handful of pop punk records in middle school and early high school.

When I think of Fake History and what my life was like when I was 23 and what I was doing and who I was with, it makes me think of the last moments of my life when I felt young. I know 23 isn't necessarily young and 28 (my current age) isn't necessarily old, but when I first got into Fake History it was during a coming of age time of my life. So I always feel really emotional and appreciative when I think of this band and that record because the spring of 2012 was one of my favorite periods of my life. Everything was perfect about it and Fake History was the soundtrack to it all.

I liked The Blackest Beautiful a lot but I was never able to come back to it because of the production. I'm never picky about those kinds of things but it was so jarring to me that it was the first time I ever let the production of an album ruin it for me. Their last album was, as I read someone here appropriately put, a whimper. I really liked A Weak Ago and the single but that was it.

I would have loved to see them during the Fake History era but by the time I got into them they were already getting ready to write The Blackest Beautiful and weren't really touring. I went to Warped Tour in 2013 for the first time in six years just to see them and it was worth it. I got to see them again the following year when they did a co-headliner with some metalcore band I'll never remember the name of. Saw them one last time last year when they opened for The Wonder Years. My favorite song has always been H.Ledger and I got to see it at Warped Tour but I would have loved to see it in a club setting.

Hopefully there is a ten year anniversary tour for Fake History. It deserves one.

This band will always hold a special place in my heart, simple as that. First time I saw them live was warped tour in 2013 and it was everything that their shows were hyped to be and more. FH is top 5 all time for me and even if their last two had their flaws, I still loved them. I look forward to whatever Jason and the rest of the guys decide to do musically, if anything at all.

  20. She's had a rough career due to her previous shitty label. She finally freed herself from it few years back, and is now in the mainstream pop culture again. About time lol

I can never decide my favorite letlive song but today it's Dreamer's Disease. Jason's fury in that song is so palpable

I love Muther but that song and Day 54 I tend to skip while listening because they're both so emotionally heavy. Muther is one of only a couple of songs that have made me legit cry when I saw it live.
