I hope she follows through I feel like albums announced this far in advance never actually release when they’re supposed to

Between this and the persona thing she has no self awareness, plus I've never heard that discourse peak Streisand effect

 

It was quite prevalent early in her career, like 2012 there was tons of stuff about her “objectifying” herself and glorifying abuse or depression. Buttttt since she swung back around to being a critical darling on her second album, i haven’t really seen it.

 

Guess I missed that haha, I just remember it being about her being a privileged rich girl especially with the SNL thing

 

Acting like artists like Beyonce, Nicki, and Cardi B haven’t faced a lot of sexism and racism for openly singing about their sexuality is not great

 

Somehow she’s found a way to top herself after going after the critic that gave her a so-so review. Calling out WOC to advertise your album and poetry books - great look, Lana!

 

It wasn’t even a so-so review, it was extremely thoughtful and a great piece of writing. Lana is so fragile sometimes when it’s like...your dad bought your career and you have tons of money. Calm down.
