Was she always like this in interviews? She seemed to have such a logical head on her shoulders before 2020. Maybe I just missed something. Almost feels like this was planned out for the album cycle lol

 

She’s really having a wild 48 hours isn’t she?

 

apparently she doesn't like being interviewed and avoids them but Taylor and Beyonce don't like being interviewed either and don't say mornic things 24/7 lol

I think she's gotten worse but also was able to hide how dumb she was before

 

LDR, Grimes & Kanye are all the same person.

 

Maybe it’s performance art to go along with the album title?

I just wish the new song was better tbh.

so we're supposed to believe she has 4 albums currently in the works? 3 of which are all covers? Ok sure

 

I'm pretty sure she dropped the standards album, cus I thought she said that would be around Christmas to hold people over until Chemtrails. She released Summertime and then nothing on that. I also doubt she ever releases the other 2

I was about to come in here and say there’s been like no hype for this album and no press for it (where’s the second single?) and then right before I read that it leaked. I’m gonna listen now.

Took a walk and listened. Her albums are generally immediate for me.. this one will need to grow

White Dress is an awful opener. Chemtrails is still just alright. Tulsa Jesus Freak is decent. Let Me Love You Like a Woman is still good. The beginning of Wild at Heart is not my thing but the song gets better. Dark But Just A Game is solid. Not All Who Wonder and Yosemite are pretty boring. Breaking Up Slowly is...okay. I liked Dance Till We Die. For Free is a nice closer

Okay this album is like NFR but just...not as good. I expect it to get mixed reviews among non-stans. While I enjoyed some songs, nothing reached the highs of NFR unfortunately.

 

Can someone point me in the right direction PM-wise?

 

This is surprisingly decent. I expected a trainwreck.

 

Jack really has made some beautiful lush soundscapes on these tracks, but vocally it's just pure Lana-by-the-numbers, she really isn't breaking any new ground at all here. Anything on this album that stands out (Dark But Just A Game) is because of Jack's soundtrack to her words.

But overall this album is pretty uneventful and mostly a slog to get through.
