Yeah aha, Hotel Books. That said, I did think their second (?) album Run Wild had some decent parts to it.

I don’t think there’s a ton... but to me it’s really similar to what la dispute does.

Mwy is the best spoken word

there are some more spoken word leaning parts but i don't think it's straight up spoken word music.
straight up spoken word music i'd say are parts of old gray

I think he's referring to the fact that what Aaron Weiss is doing is still to the beat, wheareas spoken word is basically just talking over the music using it as texture.

but still, no need to be such a stickler about it @cwhit ;)

the best song is thanks because there is no spoken word on it but that song was also turned into the word lisa on harmlessness so i have even less need to listen to it

I think what I dislike more than fully spoken word music, is songs with a spoken word bridge that aren't Enter Shikari. When bands like All Time Low or something do it, I want to stop listening (and not just because it's All Time Low).

I don't know why but I can't stand Enter Shikari. I feel like they're just going from dumb gimmick to dumb gimmick.

    I guess... they're not a winner.

I think The Mindsweep is genuinely fantastic, but every other album is kind of hit and miss.

I think Common Dreads and A Flash Flood of Colour are both great albums but I didn't like The Mindsweep or The Spark much at all.
