As much as I like MG, I saw them headline a show in Indy with GEL as defacto co-headliners and they kind of got blown off the stage in terms of crowd engagement. It was actually a situation where the crowd had noticeably thinned out for their set. Thought they still rocked but hadn’t seen that in a while. I recall a similar thing when I saw Murder By Death open a show that had Russian Circles and Gatsby’s American Dream…only show I’ve been to where the opener had the biggest draw, and the crowd dwindled as the night went on.

I sadly witnessed the infamous Taste of Chaos that basically made Thursday break up because 75 percent of the crowd left after bring me the horizon

I went to the last Knocked Loose headlining tour and I remember Show Me The Body being so awful but being grateful that they weren’t the direct support that night (Loathe was thank god) lol

I saw MG open for Touché with maybe 30 other people locked in, and the last two shows in DC/Baltimore have been rowdy. Not sure how much that naturally carries over into the KL/Drain crowd though.

Went tonight. The crowd seemed to enjoy every band but god damn Knocked Loose is just on another level right now

Actually think Gojira might win that, that Olympics moment is one of the biggest moments ever for metal.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Yeah, I would be shocked if Gojira doesn’t win.

  21. In Conversation: Bryan Garris of Knocked Loose
They've broken every ceiling a hardcore band has ever broken, but Bryan Garris refuses to discard the DIY idealism that birthed Knocked Loose. That doesn't mean there haven't been growing pains.

Norman is such a good interviewer and writer so I'm looking forward to reading this. His Anti-Matter newsletter has been a staple for the past year.

Read it this morning. Great read besides Bryan mentioning he didn't like living in Cincinnati

The KL show in Vegas was dope. Saw Spanish Love Songs and then Counterparts.

Spanish Love Songs sounded great and had a great crowd for the being odd ball on the venue, but they didn't seem comfortable knowing that, and the lead singer spoke very little except to assure everyone they were rushing through their set.

Counterparts won me over live. Not a fan on CD as it's all samesy but great live.

KL crushed it just like the first time I saw them in the year.
