Damn I would have assumed side one ended after slaughterhouse since that’s a clean break.

  2. I mean it makes sense that five songs would be on side a and 5 would be on side b but it's a bummer because I like how it segues together

That is a really strange break. Dang.

I think Moss Covers All/Take Me Home are the top of the whole album, for me. The way the vocal almost feels like it gets cut off on the “take me home” into the breakdown and then that breakdown itself gives me chills.

So I never listened to this band until about a month ago when the Poppy collab dropped. I've probably listened to that song alone like 1000 times since.
This album is blowing me away. It's been years since I was into metal and this is pulling me right back. So many moments on this album give me early days Korn vibes, only cranked the fuck up.

Never really listened to these guys but just hit play on a flight home and almost fell out of my seat

I cannot imagine having the energy that this record injected into me on first listen and being strapped into a plane seat.

We reach for the longest shadow

Especially since the possibility of a plane going down is what inspired the title.

Anyway. Support your local record stores, kids

this makes me really worried they just copy pasted the digital masters onto vinyl without any thought because a mastering enigineer wouldn’t let that happen if it was being cut specifically for vinyl

I would prefer that but I hate having to lug around the wax the whole show, esp with how hot I know the venue is going to be

The venue they’re playing here is pretty top notch probably my favorite venue in the city it’s normally super comfortable in there but yeah I’m going with someone and I’m just gonna make them hold my merch while I go crowd kill

Slaughterhouse 2 was the only song I didn't really care for but otherwise this album absolutely fucking rips, destroys, slaps etc. Sounds even more apocalyptic than A Tear In The Fabric Of Life did and I love it for that. The reggaeton breakdown in Suffocate always puts a huge smile on my face and so does the fucking feral scream from Poppy right after it. I'd probably say that's my favorite song from it

If I could just forget it

Parts of Sit & Mourn feel like something off Wake the Dead. A combo of Bryan's vocal delivery and the upbeat pace of certain sections. So cool.

Never heard of this band before Blinding Faith dropped. I was hooked from first listen and I've been listening to all of their other material in preparation of this release. Holy fuck this is incredible. Such a nasty, visceral-sounding album that does not let up AT ALL. Sonically feels like I'm being held in a Force choke by Vader and I want more.

Slipknot has been the extent of most of my metal listening up to this point, and them opening on their tour makes complete sense. Definitely a gym listen too. What a ripper of an album this is. Speechless. :fire::explode:

Seconded all the opinions. This shit is gnarly.

i have never given Motionless In White a chance because of their whole aesthetic but I dig this feature so I guess I should check them out?

I can already see this album being this generation’s Jane Doe. I’ve had many of the same thoughts as when I listened to that in 2001.
