    this is all there is

    While I agree about the quality of the songs, the production on that EP is so subpar that I almost never revisit it. It doesn't have nearly the punch of Direction.

    I don't think they would create something subpar, I just think they want to create music that's not really what The Starting Line ended on, as Kenny has stated quite a few times that pop punk/emo isn't really the type of music he wants to create anymore. I can't speak for the rest of the band, but I get why they would feel similarly, and since its been such a long time, it wouldn't be a slow transition, it'd be a brand new album from a band that likely wouldn't sound like what they previously released.
