It absolutely makes sense why J. Cole tucked his tail between his legs.

LOL at the full track being 19 minutes. The man just really hates Drake

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I'm picturing the 19 minute cut just has 13 extra of Kendrick screaming into the mic like Gorillaz' DoYaThing lol

I know Rick Ross mentioned it also but it lowkey blows my mind that someone can get surgery to get abs if that’s true lol

The flip of the 20 v 1 line into being about Drake's ghostwriter allegations is absolutely fucking genius

And yeah like other people are saying this is just a great song, it's amazing to just hear Kendrick rapping his ass off for almost 7 minutes regardless of the subject matter

    Got a light?

Keep reading more about the hidden meanings, esp the Chinese restaurant line and how that ties into mocking the accent and yeah, this is a scathing response, Drake should probably stick to his Instagram posts because his surface level bars aren’t coming anywhere close to this (Saying this as someone who thought Push Ups was a good response)

I feel like Drake posting a gif of 10 Things I Hate About You plays into Certain Themes brought up in Kendrick’s diss.

It might not have the scandalous info that Adidon has but it's still fun as fuck hearing Kendrick's delivery on just hating Drake lmao

Yeah this was a fun track. It’s funny just hearing Kendrick be petty. Story of Adidon is a top tier diss, can’t compare every diss that comes along to it imo.

My hot take is this is much more of a hype and fun diss and Pusha was great mostly because of the insider info he had and that’s the only thing that gives that song an advantage, that’s a real nuke and neither in this beef has had something like that but the cadence, the accents, the hidden references here, I think this will age to be better to me at least, not a battle ending diss necessarily but everything I wanted in a response

eh the beat on adidon is better too. ultimately it’s just more fun. you have to sit with a tab open on genius to listen to half of kendrick’s tracks.

    rick’s response was better

I grew up on mewithoutYou, so reading over the lyrics comes natural for me. Plus, on no planet is Ross’s diss better lol aside from that, different strokes i guess.

I think it’s just a matter of taste and what you look for and enjoy. Kendrick’s song is lyrically knotty and highly technical, an unrestrained showcase of talent and delivering complex lines seemingly with ease - Pusha’s is more punchy and direct, obviously has the spectacle element of revealing secret information, and will have a lasting legacy as one of the best disses in years. Both are great for different reasons.

for an album track, i am taking everything yall seem to be enjoying from this into consideration. absolutely.

for a one off diss track, im in it for the shits and giggles. it’s just entertainment. this song isn’t “fun.” rick’s and pusha’s are entirely that. fwiw euphoria is much better than push ups, though the metro line is great
