That music video feels like the female version of Conner4Real. Unintentionally, of course. What a nothing of a song.

 

In the words of David Bowie, "It's not a very good song, is it?"

 

Yeah the video is painful, just dated in every single way. Song is pretty much Stupid Love with vapid girlboss lyrics. A far cry from Never Really Over as a lead single

 

I truly think she was primed to have a huge comeback and she has completely wasted that potential. This is comically bad to the point that you really have to wonder if she's trolling or something.

It does sound a ton like Stupid Love but idk why I would ever listen to this instead of that. And the lyrics just feel straight out of 2013 in all the worst ways. I can only really imagine this connecting with older millennial women who don't really keep up with music anymore.

And the cognitive dissonance of this attempted feminist anthem being produced by Dr Luke is a bridge too far for me to be able to look past.

 

The feminist message is just immediately cheapened by working with a rapist... baffling

 

I use to be a big big Katy fan she was first big celeb I ever met but this song doesn’t do it for me and I liked smile just wish that album did better
So far I’m just not hyped for this album cuz of this song

 

This.. is not good.

 

Lifetimes is actually a marked improvement over Woman's World. The lyrics are still incredibly generic and so is the beat tbh but it's at least fun enough. It being done by Dr. Luke still makes sense considering how generic it generally is

 

It feels like this is dead in the water.

 

Album is out today.

Listening through out of curiosity. Most of this is just extremely generic like those first 2 singles. Nothing memorable. Also it looks like Dr Luke is the listed producer on everything but the closing track.

 

Oh god I didn't even remember it was coming out today, I thought it was in like October or something. Certainly doesn't bode well for it lol

 

i was on tove lo's spotify page just now and i scrolled and saw these, saw the just hits playlist with a face i didn't recognize so i clicked to see who was on the cover, it is katy perry, what happened to her face? age? surgery? ozempic?
