Kanye live is just amazing

 

Yea Runaway at the VMAs might be his most iconic performance, and he has a slew of greats. But that’s the one that stands out to me as THE one.

The white floor, the samples, his red suit, Pushas pink suit, the vocoder outro, the comeback, and that gorgeous shot of him with the sparkling fireworks. That was peak Kanye for me. That moment.

I really enjoy any studio footage, it seems like Kanye had a completely different song at first then they made it into this by hearing that snippet he played before TI goes and record.

Yeah it was very dope, even with the song being very below average it was still a cool watch. They definitely did it on the spot too.

 

Quality of song doesn't matter for things like this, it's super interesting to see the process. It's the journey, not the destination.

 

Absolutely love any studio footage and it's rare we get some from Kanye

 

This part of the “journey” of this song is not that interesting. In fact when the other part is awful and shitty and is harmful to lots of people, it’s weird. That side of the journey matters a lot. This weird praise of this bad song’s “journey” while this dude is meeting with people like Charlie Kirk doesn’t set well.

No, I just think it’s ridiculous to try and shit on people thinking that 4 minutes studio video on a song is interesting. Like we all pretty much agree that what he’s doing is whack but studio footage is still interesting.

 

I didn’t try and “shit on” anyone. I was very specific with what I said.

Praising “the process” while this shit is going on doesn’t set well with me at all, it’s tied together explicitly with this song release. You “laughing” at that is definitely not cool.

 

It came off as trying to do that to me. All We said is it was cool to see studio stuff, it’s always interesting no matter really who it is.

 

And I disagree. I don’t find it interesting or “cool” in this context at all. It doesn’t set well in the slightest given what’s actually happening.

 

That open letter felt like it had a little too much information. Kanye will never actually read all of that surely?

 

The original version of Wolves with Sia and Vic is soooo much better. I've replaced it with the album version in my iTunes.

Really? I honestly haven't listened to the album version in forever. There is a difference between the album version and the version played on SNL, yeah?

 

Yes, only one Vic Mensa hook, added kanye verse about someone taking a sandwich.

 

Originally the album version didn't have Sia and Vic on it. People were pissed about it which led to Kanye tweeting "Imma fix Wolves". They got added back. It's not the same as the original version on SNL but they are on it now.
