New Janelle Monáe is really great if anyone is looking for something new to listen to today.

 

Fantastic album

 

T.I. is also the man who said women are too emotional to be president so I don't really give a fuck about what he has to say regarding politics.

 

I think it's important when judging how those close to Kanye respond in the moment to remember that they have a personal connection that none of us do. Kanye is Chance's friend, mentor, and personal inspiration. It makes sense that his initial response was to have his friend's back because there's an emotional factor and insight that third-parties and fans do not have. It's easy for us to immediately go "fuck Kanye" because we don't have the same emotional investment. Chance's initial response was flawed but recognizably human. These people are still people and make human mistakes. I trust his apology. I have to trust that people can recognize that they've made a mistake.

Kanye is still wrong of course.
