My Dinosaur Life is a fun record. I enjoy listening to MCS when I'm feeling nostalgic even though it's 2018 and it's not the wave to ride. Hot take, I know.

 

That's just them making a boring album.

 

idk i think it's their only record to follow up on the continuity/vibe of even if it kills me. i guess it bored people but it has a lot of depth for me. "box elder" and "bad idea" and "happy anniversary" still my fav mcs songs

I would say it’s my favorite MCS record

 

EIIKM is a 10.

 

MDL was my first MCS record so I can't look at it objectively.

EIIKM is their best by a long shot though

 

this is bad

 

They were a steep decline to me the moment I heard “History Lesson.” This tour was thankfully during the EIIKM era.

 

Speaking of different subjects I think it's time for me to retire the Kanye Swish avatar, as much as I loved it.

MCS was excellent on their farewell tour. Listened to their albums for the first time in awhile after that. Nothing wrong with a little pop-punk love

 

MCS were never good.

Never did I think that a Kanye West thread would turn to an attack on Motion City Soundtrack wow I get why people don't love the last couple, but I cannot agree at all that it was writing the same songs (well actually PS maybe I'll give you, but even that gifted us with I Can Feel You and Days Will Run Away). My Dinosaur Life is one of my favorites ever wow I'm hurt

 

We're clearly in bizarro world, because usually every other thread devolves into Kanye rankings and not the other way around

My Dinosaur Life is what happens when a label says "can you write your old album that was popular again please."

 

Yesterday was all about shitting on Green Day's trilogy, today is coming to terms with the fact that MCS's catalog isn't actually that great even though there's a sweet three album run.

 

Yeah but Green Day's trilogy is actually awful.
