Not defending Kanye, but did he support Russell Simmons?
If you're talking about the lyrics in Yikes I thought that was a swipe at Simmons. Simmons said Kanye needed an intervention. I though that line "Ima pray for him cos he got MeeTood" implied Simmons was hypocritical to criticise Kanye's behaviour.

 

I think that's probably a generous interpretation of that line, and given how we know Kanye feels about a whole heap of other abusers, I don't feel the need to be generous towards him.


Oh and how could I forget that President Trump is an abuser who Kanye has gone out of his way to show support for.

 

It might've been if he doesn't go on to imply that Kanye himself either a) deserves to be Me Too'd himself (which, given Amber Rose's past remarks... ANYWAY) or b) thinks the Me Too movement is full of liars. Either way, that line was, well, yikes.

 

Yeah that's fair, I didn't want to give Kanye the benefit of the doubt, I just know when I heard that line I instantly thought it was dissing Simmons. His support for other abusers is unquestionable and awful. I also can't believe some of the others who have shown love for XXX, like J Cole and Travis Barker. Nor that Kanye's tweet about XXX being an inspiration has almost 870,000 likes.

Not disputing that the poster is fake, but planning a tour with a date that doesn't exist seems like something 2018 Kanye might do.

 

Even if he does tour with Cudi, the headline on the poster would definitely say Kanye West and not Kids See Ghost
