Wouldn’t Leave is a truly awful song.

The best, and only good thing, about Ye (to me) is the short video he took of North singing the chorus of No Mistakes. That was adorable.

I haven't seen that video I gotta look for it.

Although I don't think it can top the video Wiz Khalifa posted of his son meeting Taylor Swift and singing I Did Something Bad.

What don't you like about it? It's probably my favorite on the album, and it's the only one that actually attempts to grapple with the fallout of his behavior.

Fuck it. Went ahead and bought Daytona, ye and KSG on vinyl. Plus a Pusha shirt.

I take it as encouraging women to stay in toxic, abusive relationships with shitty men.

Or, to be highly specific, stay with men who say slavery is a choice

“I said, "Slavery a choice"—they said, "How, 'Ye?"
Just imagine if they caught me on a wild day”

Disgusting. Implying it wasn’t even a big deal and he says much worse on “wild days”.

Then, sure that one line you quoted is fine out of context , but the song repeats “I KNEW you wouldn’t leave” over and over. Implying he knows he can get away with anything.

I'm not defending the slavery quote (and wouldn't... it's blatantly terrible). That said, to me it's a highly specific misreading of the song to say that it's about "encouraging women to stay with men who say slavery is a choice." To me, the song is Kanye is talking about the mistakes he's made in his life (he brings up the Sway incident as well, which wasn't "toxic" in any traditional sense), made as a tribute to his wife in gratitude for staying with him through it.

You're kind of taking the song out of context as well, as the "wild day" is him talking about when his bipolar disorder is acting up. In fact, the whole second verse is a deep dive into the ebb and flow of their relationship relative to his mental state:
As publicly charged as their lives are (and I'm not really hear to make a value judgment on their marital health), this is actually a somewhat nuanced portrayal about a really difficult set of issues, from public responsibility to personal growth. It's certainly the clearest window into his life on the ye album.

KSG is cool but the last 3 songs are way better than the first 4.
