like whats the difference between youtube music commentary and listening to music related podcasts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Music related podcasts aren't usually straight up album reviews and are actually interesting and cover a wide variety of topics. YouTube reviews are all surface level and hard to watch

i should clarify before i get into this convo that literally the only youtube review channel i watch is DEHH haha. but i love their videos so when i see people hating on youtube reviews i feel like i have to immediately defend them:crylaugh:

Eh I watched them for a bit when they first became a thing but I grew tired of it really quickly and anytime I've tried watching them in the last couple years (most recently yesterday) I bail 5 minutes in because I'm bored.

Writing is a more user friendly medium for in depth analysis anyway. It's gonna take a 20 minute video for a really in depth review on YoTube but I can read a review in 5-10 minutes that quite frankly will cover more ground than a video review 10/10 times

Yea Lead Singer Syndrome is the only podcast one I'll listen to, and even that I don't do every episode because some guests I don't really care about

  25. Something weird must have happened during the Pablo rollout because I feel like you can place a very distinct line in Kanye's discography between MBDTF->Yeezus->Only One/All Day/Wolves/I Feel Like That and the final TLOP->ye. Those four singles from the So Help Me God era all feel like they'd work as a part of a more cohesive whole than what Pablo turned out to be, and ye feels like an extension of Pablo's messy-on-purpose, half-assed feel.
