Alright, cool. I'll agree with this. If you think the choice was wrong and made for a bad outcome, then that's fair.

Personally, I feel like the choice was that of the artists and I respect the idea of doing something different. I wouldn't say it was a success, but I wouldn't say it was a failure either. I enjoy most of this project, but it is lacking in comparison with his more fully realized work.

I'd probably say "yeah, I could believe he did it in a week" His past few months is not why I dislike the record. I dislike it because it's by far his worst output

What matters to me is the final product.

Say if a movie sucks and I learn part of the reason it sucks is because of time restraints and budgeting the movie still sucks.

Now that doesn't mean that the director doesn't got it in them to make a good film, just like it doesnt mean Kanye cant make a good if not great record as evident by these songs that unfortunately feel incomplete. Even more unfortunate is that he doesn't have any time constraints other than self-imposed. Which means he is fully responsible for this record's half-baked-ness.

    Just a friendly reminder

I'd just like to hear a record that doesn't sound like Bandcamp demos with the cover to match. I like messy, scrapped together music but Kanye is no Robert Pollard. There's no charm to how this was hastily assembled.
