i think people were mostly mad about that album because of the way it sounded, saying he abandoned hip hop or something. tame in comparison to this, but there's always something i guess lol

 

i generally feel like kanye sells less because of controversy

 

I vote democrat. Always have. But sometimes I think people in these kinds of forums live on a different planet than me. I literally can count on two hands the people in my life (all of my family, coworkers (im even in a union!), friends college and high school) that did not vote trump. Nearly everyone in my life votes conservative. Everyone.

 

Saw a tweet saying “Kanye only talks to us when he wants to sell us something” and if you think about it, it’s actually true.

 

Low key none of us actually surprised by that tweet right

 

the world is still pretty much conservative, and capitalism is inherently right wing. So yeah it's financially beneficial. And there are people who will buy his stuff no matter what.

I'm not partisan, so I don't call myself Democrat.

I just consider myself a socialist.

And nah, I'm in a gop state and almost my whole family and relatives are Republican so I have to deal with far right talking points on a regular basis.

there's only one person related to me I know IRL who hates all the social conservativism and hypocrisy.

 

Why do you just assume things lol. I grew up in an extremely conservative part of the county surrounded by people who support republicans

Kanyes gonna be fine regardless of what he says or does. This just basically confirms all the awful shit people assume about the way he thinks is probably really how he is. Like he seems to actually genuinely be influenced by people with awful world views and that's where I draw the line. It's not like this is the only thing that's made me doubt kanye but yeah this is a new breaking point for me, I think it's completely fair that this is a breaking point

Who is he influenced by though? He is surrounded by so many people who think the opposite of this lady and other people like that. IDK who he honestly could be around that could influence that kind of thinking.

 

He's influenced by these alt right people. He wouldn't tweet "I like the Candace Owens thinks" if her thinking isn't influencing him

He’s around so many people who are anti the trash right and you know they talk to him about that stuff that’s why it’s super confusing to me. You had people like Common and John Legend saying he’s better over the past few months so you’d think those two wouldn’t want anything to do with someone that believes those kind of things.

Which leads me to wonder does he like everything she preaches or was there something specific that he saw and caused him to tweet that? We’ll probably never know though.

 

Kanyes his own person who thinks on his own. He's made it clear who he's throwing his support behind publicly. It's Donald Trump and Candice Owens

 

Even if it's something specific she said, he's an idiot because she's never said anything that's not harmful toxic bullshit

 

There also was reports he took back the Donald Trump support because of the obvious racist travel ban. He then deleted everything that involved Donald from his twitter around the time that report came out.

Also I will say I had no idea who Candice was until today cus I’ve never seen her name until today. Who knows though if he believes all the shit that chick spews

 

Okay well I've known who she is and know exactly what she puts out there. I don't care if he believes a fraction of it, any amount is too much. She has contributed zero thoughtful ideas to the world.

 

Publically lifting her voice up regardless of how much of her shit he believes is harmful and disgusting. For all you know he could believe all of it

 

I definitely don’t doubt it, googling her name and seeing the first 3 headlines I didn’t feel like seeing anymore.

 

This really drives home the importance of choosing who we support. I'm sorry this is hurting, we're all here for you.

 

And I'm sure this is what happened because he's at most libertarian I'm fairly confident, not that it makes it okay but I don't see him as a staunch conservative
