Gave this a listen and I liked aspects of it but mostly just the instrumentals. Makes me wonder how much of it is bad verses vs how disappointed I am in Kanye. Perhaps a combination of both.

 

alright I gave this a 3rd listen when I got home from work and to solidify my thoughts, I think it's safe for me to delete and never listen to it again.

 

I'm just glad Kanye gave the best beats to Pusha

 

Boy I can't believe how un-hype I am for the collab album next week after Cudi failed to hit his notes in Ghost Town

Janelle Monae and Kali Uchis are great but slightly more removed

 

yeah trick dice is near untouchable tho.

"mids" is an absolute jam

One of my best friends, a person much smarter than me, a great musician, someone who has always been clearly against toxic masculinity, facism, capitalism, has given me his album rankings after his third listen of Ye.

Cadence Weapon made a great record this year with better beats than any of these Ye songs and I wish more people jammed his shit. That MIKE EP was really good. So was the EARTHGANG EP.

Everyone else has already cover the other good stuff. It's a good year for rap.

 

I don't outright hate this album, but no way would this album get ranked any higher than second to last.

 

If SOB starts the party than JPEGMAFIA hangs from the rafters and scares everyone in attendance

The end of the first verse in Ghost Town (roughly 53 seconds in) literally sounds like every wasted person pretending they know the lyrics to the song they're rapping/singing along to.
