The internet is bad now. I used to really like it. Now most of the time I'm like leave me the fuck alone.

God, with memes and reddit, and youtube, and all the shit out there ... I have people in my life saying stuff like, you believe in social justice?, and I'm like ... wait, what do you think "social justice" even is?

 

It's weird seeing people insult other people with words that literally mean "progressive"

the internet was a mistake and has given rise to the worst ideas imaginable and has fooled millions of people into thinking equality is the enemy

 

i've become more depressed and cynical thanks to the internet. i wish i could give less of a fuck but idk. life's a struggle

the internet plays such a huge role in shaping people's perceptions on society that I only stick around on it to give some sort of counter balance to all the bullshit and thankfully there's a good amount of people who stand for the right things out there but there's been a meteoric shift in the rise of horrible ideologies thanks to the long term effects of the internet coming into view

 

It sucks, I know it's selfish to say but I owe the internet bigtime, it's helped me a ton in my own life to not only become a better person but to just...become more of a person.

But if what we're seeing now is the consequence of that...ugh. It's awful, I don't know.

The internet is good, but it should have stopped changing in like.... 1999. Slow internet and not really understanding how to use it for the most part.... that was a nice middle ground
