Yeah it's not that crazy at all, I'm surprised that's getting more pickup than any of the way stupider and worse stuff he has done recently. The Grammys are trash, it's not like he's pissing on a Nobel Peace Prize

If anything at least there is some conversation being stirred up about how shitty it is out there for artists. I personally had NO IDEA that labels were entitled to 35 years of ownership of master recordings before artists could even begin the process of getting them back. Wtf.

 

I mean, that depends on the deal. There are artists out there with major deals that managed to hold on to their masters. There aren’t nearly enough of them though.

 

If you’re an unsigned artist with a buzz, never sign away your masters
