  2. I should re-phrase - she very well may truly love him but if she's too afraid to step in and help him then that's not true love.

  3. I mean where's Adidas in all this? do they want their most recognized brand to be going off and spouting this shit? or is it because his shoes make a ton of money they don't care? It just sucks.

there is no excuse for his anti-black and hateful rhetoric but goddamn we are witnessing a car wreck in real time and NO ONE associated with the man is stepping in.

Maybe people are too afraid of him? He can be very violent with his words and even physically and perhaps folks don’t want to deal with that side of him?

kim did mention something recently about him not taking his meds and being “worried” for him but that’s, like, the absolute bare minimum someone could do and is pretty useless

  6. I don't buy that - at least the physically violent part of it. I think people around him are scared of losing their cash cow and don't want to fuck that up. Despite all the fucked up shit the man has done over the last decade plus he has never faced any consequences for his actions and that continues to enable him to not seek help.

  7. We also don't know what's happening behind the scenes, so I'm not sure it's helpful or appropriate to speculate the role his family is playing in all of this

  8. speaking as a Wife Guy to another Wife Guy - if I started acting strange and bizarre like that my wife would either call for professional help immediately or leave me.

  9. I mean look at this family - he's surrounded by the Jenners/Kardashians.

I feel like he has never dealt with the trauma of losing his mother in an appropriate way.

what could be happening behind the scenes? His extended family is powerful and influential enough to get him the best help possible but they just don't? They are giving that much power to one man with mental illness to make all the decisions?

it definitely seems like John Legend is the only one who ever calls him out on his bullshit and that's too much of a burden to bear

  11. maybe speculating is gross (it is) but I mean you hold a mini-rally in a small room during a pandemic and then spew the shit he spews - people are gonna speculate.

I'm concerned for the man - I want him to find help. I don't want his life to end in a disaster or tragedy.

  12. that's another sad consequence - there are definitely people close to Kanye who have tried but after a while you just give up and that sucks too.

    it's sad to watch.

Exactly. If positive steps were being taken to help Kanye behind the scenes we would see that happening in the public, or we wouldn’t hear from Kanye for a while as he gets help, but we aren’t seeing that at all.

I’m surprised with all Cudi’s been through, that he hasn’t said a whole lot about it. But maybe it’s just a kind of “Kanye can take of himself” type thing. Either way, it sucks and Kanye sucks. Regardless of the mental health problems he’s dealing with, what he’s saying and doing is some insane bullshit.

When someone criticizes Kanye or calls him out on something (see: Taylor Swift) his (at least diehard) fans will all say "fuck her", try to ruin her career, and immediately be on Kanye's side but when Kanye is the one criticizing others (Harriet Tubman, his wife for almost getting an abortion, black people for "choosing" to be slaves, etc.) it's always just everyone else taking him too seriously and overreacting to his comments. He's allowed to voice opinions on other people but other people can't voice opinions on him? Yeah okay.

it’s not even really speculation at this point. they’ve essentially confirmed he isn’t doing well. if he was moderately smart, he’d know this isn’t a time to throw yourself in the spotlight, but also who’s to say really, he clearly isn’t thinking straight

  20. Deleted my post because this is a lot to unravel on a Monday morning and I don't have anything to add that hasn't been said before. Hope he eventually gets the help he needs and goes away for a very long time.

  21. I mean - it could be like the John Legend thing - you try and you try but when you continually get stone walled it's hard to keep trying.

it really falls down to his family and his business partners IMO

it’s also, like, him and cudi are collaborators. i think calling them “friends” is a stretch. it also isn’t cudi’s responsibility to step in for kanye, especially when he’s been public about his own health

Of course Piers Morgan weighed in. I think the media in some ways is helping fuel his "downfall" instead of hold him accountable and do whatever they can to help him get help.
