did the kids ever care/know about Kanye before now? what age do you teach again?

 

Sophomores currently. Honestly no, not really haha. A few whose parents played them his old stuff at least have the “old Kanye” opinion. I’ve been teaching for 8 years now and maybe the first year or so he still had some clout with the kids? Compared to what you see on here/Twitter…he really doesn’t seem to make and impact on them.

 

It's just kind of baffling how big Kanye remains despite the younger generation not giving a shit about him.

 

I'd cut the chant and start with "24" tbh

 

Yeah, it's almost like he's one of the greatest hip hop artists of all time. C'mon man...

Don't know why he thought leaking a good Kanye track with an Andre feature would be a good move for him if this was a real beef, which I still don't think it is

He's doing his best to tarnish his legacy and while he definitely has some albums that I would consider classics, he hasn't made anything noteworthy since at least TLOP.

Andre’s verse is unsurprisingly great. Kanye’s is ehhhh. Would have been a standout on the album.

 

Biggest gripe with this is all the "god will absolve me of all my wrong-doing" nonsense but damn if it's not his best music since Pablo. Loving the heavy presence of people like Playboi Carti and Baby Keem.

It's easily his best since Pablo, but that is an incredibly low bar and doesn't exactly make it good lol

 

I mean, outside of Kids See Ghosts this is his best since TLOP
