Also it says way more about Snyder than it does about the people on Twitter/in this thread that him putting a line like that in this movie was 1000000% believable.

 

I’d watch his dawn of the dead remake over a lot of the marvel movies.

yeah dawn of the dead is better than several marvel movies, as is 300. watchmen is on par with the bottom tier. the rest are worse than marvel sure

Man of Steel has some very well choreographed scenes, the action feels impressive. I like the cast. But Snyder’s miserable aesthetic and characterization are a bummer to sit through. But yeah it’s about as good as the MCU’s weaker stuff and his Dawn of the Dead is actually better than a lot of MCU stuff. 300 was fun for what it was, if flawed. But yeah a whole lot of shit otherwise.

 

I'll still watch Sucker Punch even though its a fucking mess of a movie.

 

I loved his Watchmen when it came out, but I was unfamiliar with the source material.

 

it’s not his worst on paper. but, yes, having any familiarity with the source makes it infuriating

i’d still rather watch it than, like, guardians 2

 

Guardians 2 is probably Top 3 MCU for me, brought me to tears

Guardians 2 is probably my favorite MCU movie. I remember liking Snyder's Watchmen when it came out, which was when I was just coming out of high school. I'm sure I'd still enjoy it, but I'd probably just rather rewatch the HBO series.

 

Yeah Guardians 2 was definitely not the movie to namedrop in that context lmao it's a really good one

 

Don’t need to recycle that convo again, lol, but yeah, Guardians 2 rules. Personal favorite MCU film. Probably their overall most successful at having a strong thematic core.

I'm loving hearing Ray Fisher really gets time to shine here. He deserves it. Granted it shouldn't take Snyder 4 hours to do it.
